crepuscular

he sat bathed in the deep red and black light as the sun slipped behind the horizon. there was the hum and creaking of the day shuffling and ambling towards the edge of the flat earth. the light losing itself and washing over the grass. nostalgia all around, hidden and burning in every atom and in places where there were no atoms. a horn grew out of his forehead and dragged him like a divining rod up towards the stars.

untitled s.o.c.

the stars are swirling around way up in the firmament.  a low hum of bees off in the distance. the flat earth is impenetrable and implacable.  it opens and relieves me below the surface before resuming itself. the sub- red sea is scorching, on fire and i swim in it but it does not hurt. deeper inward to the darker reds & maroons & siennas. no light, no refractions, no colors

i think of the forever burning stars. never ceasing the battle for eternity. molecules fusing and exploding. never a mistake
